Italian Heritage Citizenship (IHC), was started as a labor of love, born out of our personal experiences and passions while getting Italian citizenship in Italy. Ciao amici! My name is Marco Martella. I’m a proud dual US/Italian citizen who’s passionate about Italian history, culture and the world’s best food. My late father was a first-generation Italian-American. While living in Italy, I was able to obtain my Italian citizenship through heritage via my Italian grandparents. In their honor, this was one of the greatest adventures of our lives!

My wife Alexandra and I recently moved to Italy (temporarily) and applied for my Italian citizenship in the Veneto region, just an hour from the canals of Venice. After relocating to Italy, I was recognized as an Italian citizen in just nine months. During our time in Italy, we traveled to many parts of this beautiful country and experienced the captivating warmth and tranquility of this incredible and beautiful culture.
